Jolly Holiday

This might be my favorite photo.
Picture perfect! We trotted the kids over to Gardner Village, a local craft, boutique shopping center that's close to our house. It's historical and darling, lots of cute shops and they really do it up for Christmas. We had planned on doing some super cute, snowy holiday photos for Christmas cards. There was no snow and it was pretty warm and it was late with no naps so the kids weren't exactly in their best moods, but we decided to take some holiday photos anyway.
Tagg was rocking a dance party in the window of one of the shops. We tried and tried to get him to do some cute posey photos. No dice. He was shaking his groove thing. Unstoppable. Apparently we are playing too much Wii Just Dance.
We got one pose photo. I kind of like the dance party pictures better, but he is handsome. Even if he looks like he's wearing Grandpa's or Mister Rogers' sweater vest.
How cute are they?! Sloane refused to put her dress down. I think she loved those tights so much she wanted them in the picture. That is totally not true, but it's the best reason I could come up with for why she wanted to hike her cute Christmas dress skirt up.
Sloane finally joined in Tagg's dance party. They were so adorable. Who needs music? Just dance when you want to dance! That is one of those "appreciate life" moments that cute little kids will remind you about. Dance when you feel like dancing. And candy is worth doing anything!
Sweetness. They really do love each other. Sloane calls her big brother "my Taggy" and, as much as he protects his "stuff" from her, he defends her with everything he's got if anyone else is messing with her. I have this vision of their future relationship and I hope it's every bit as wonderful as mine is with my sibs. It might have been a little rocky getting there but we always love each other more than anything.

Holiday joy. Watching the ducks on the pond and giggling about Christmas songs and a trip to the candy shop. I couldn't love anything more.

Thanks, Aunt Tiff, for capturing all of these beautiful photos. And, thanks to Nana and Papa for chaperoning and for the cute holiday outfits. You made it all happen!
