Discovery Day

We decided to check out the local children's Discovery Museum on Presidents' Day. Potential horror show, right? A school holiday, at a kids' museum?! Cuckoo! But we embarked on this adventure with Nana and Papa, starting with what was supposed to be an early, quick lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. HAHAHA!!! A. The food sucks. B. The food is so insanely fattening and high calorie it's almost shocking. C. It took an hour and a half to get 2 pizzas, a salad and a calzone. Seriously?! Why I hate chain restaurants. They did credit us for about half the bill but still, we are now on borrowed baby no-nap time heading into the Children's Museum on a holiday during the peak time. Thanks a lot. You should have paid us to eat there!

Luckily the kids were awesome, and Nana and Papa are great wranglers, and the Discovery Museum is amazing! So much to do and see and experience.

Plus, her boots (snow = cowboy in our world, apparently) totally worked!

He's very serious about his music.
I love his focus and intensity when he's learning new things.
Or maybe that's just his no-nap face.

Sloane could have spent hours in this area,
moving plastic fruits and veggies from bowl to bowl,
carefully organizing them by type and
"harvesting" fruits and veggies from the ground.
It was very sweet, and educational, to watch.
