Poor Man's Vegas...

Darling little bikini baby! Why do fat rolls
and cellulite only look cute on babies?
We spent my birthday in Mesquite at mom and dad's condo. The weather was gorgeous - seventies and sunny every day except the day we left. The pool was freezing so the kids did their pool time in the big giant jetted tub in the condo. They splashed so much all of the paparazzi (adults crowded in the bathroom taking photos) left looking like we'd been in the shower too.

Mesquite is about a 5 and a half hour drive from Salt Lake. At about an hour and a half in Tagg was being very whiny and all of a sudden...EPIC puke! I didn't know that little guy could hold so much food in his little belly. The big hot-dog-oranges-PB&J lunch Grama was so proud he ate? All over him, me, the car seat. Thank god he didn't projectile or Scott might not have been able to see out the window. I have never been a huge hot dog lover but I am officially never, never, never eating them ever again.

Adults agree. The pool was cold.
Daddy snuggles after a dip in the freezing cold pool!

Sun Time, Fun Time, Run Time?

Tiff and I had grand plans to run every day. And we should have because the weather was lovely. We carted all of our running stuff all the way there, and then every morning we did breakfast, got sidetracked and never went running. We did drag the kids on a few long walks though so that kind of counts.

Tagg taking Papa for a therapeutic walk. Papa's new
bionic knee seems to be working pretty good!

Tagg and Sloane were rocking their shades but for the life of me, I cannot get them to wear hats. So they end up with sunscreen hair which leads us right back to...the tub!

We went over to the casino to play bingo (another family tradition...don't ask) and Scott got busted by the bingo cops for being too loud! Go figure. He and Marc won a little money, the rest of us not so much.

In a random act of kindness, we were at this barbecue joint called Players or something that we always go to. We ordered ribs and steaks and stuff and when we went to pay the check, found out that some random guy paid for our dinner. Who does that?! Seriously. That's either really sweet and generous, he was trying to hook up with sister, or he thought we looked like a poor homeless family. I'm going with sweet and generous!
Take this stupid thing OFF of my head!

Lunch at Wolf Creek golf course...
Sloane's first crack at a family tradition.

The girls at the pool.

Very afraid. Is she really a Bieber fan at 10
months? We thought she was walking early!

 Future Golfers

Our condos come with our very own personal golf carts, which is one of Scott's favorite features and may be the reason we bought the thing in the first place. That and the fact that the driving range is right out the back door and you can hit balls all the live long day. Scott's first chore of the trip was teaching Tagg how to drive the golf cart. Like father, like son. He's actually pretty good and knows his left and his right. We don't let him drive in front of Papa...no license.

Me, Tiff and Dad on the 8th hole. We're all happy because
we've been cheating and the drink cart came by a lot!
We conned my mom into watching the kids one day so we could all go play 9 holes at the Oasis. Golf with my family is hysterical. My dad is super competitive so we're not even to the first tee and he's got this complex team scramble switcheroo thing figured out for us. I don't think any of us kids really understood the rules but luckily we all played pretty well - at least that's what we think because we didn't get in too much trouble! Scott and I still keep golf scores in smiley faces - smiley, straight or frowny depending on how you play the hole.
Smiley faces!
