Napa to Sonoma - Best 13.1 Ever!

July 18th, we headed down to Napa Valley to run 13.1 miles through about 8 gorgeous vineyards. Why?

It may have been the fact that they served free wine at the end of the race.

The medals.

The Run, SL, UT, Run t-shirts (thanks Ana for those and everything else!). They certainly raised a few eyebrows and started some conversations. Uh...one guy, six girls from Utah running a race. We totally pulled off the Big Love!

The chance to hang out with our friends at a very large, eclectic, fabulous home in the hills just outside Sonoma which had its own swimming pool and hot tub. This was not our place (I wish!) but it was the start of the race...pretty amazing!

Fabulous dining and shopping.

And let's just not mention the wine tasting! Probably not what they have in mind for carb loading, but it was awesome!

It was Jenny and Amy's first half-marathon and they kicked butt! The course was beautiful (more hilly than we'd all expected...so much for the sea level benefit!) and the fog was kind enough to hang out until about nine a.m. so we had lovely cool weather for most of the run.
