You gotta love a birthday getaway with the girls! It's nice to feel like a princess! Especially when you're in Newport Beach. In spite of the fact that we missed our flight due to my early-onset

Alzheimers (did OCD girl seriously forget her ID?!), we had a wonderful time!
Ana greeted us with a champagne toast, the condo was darling and we had some truly awesome beach bikes. Flame crotch, anyone? We found GREGGGG! the millionaire from the awful reality TV show on Friday night, mistakenly thinking that because he was in Greg H's condo, he was the Greg we knew, and ended up getting a whole free dinner and drinks out of the evening. (We still got it!) We rode our bikes out to Balboa Island for some dining and shopping, walked around the island marveling at the crazy bear lady's house and the really disturbing Easter rabbit/scarecrow display, and later powered up a big, giant hill in order to fulfill

Jenny's dream of 30 dollar spray tans. It was a completely laid-back, girlie day! That night we all tried on each other's purchases, and then got ready for the night at which time Ana realized that she had mistakenly packed 2 right shoes.

She had so much stuff that she had an impromptu "yard sale" in her room, but never did find the crucial left shoe. We went to a wonderful sushi dinner where the food was incredible but the photos of our feet under the table

were even better and ended up at an 80s dance club where Jen and Ana got called out. Sadly, Ana's back up shoes did not fare so well that night, but we felt lucky that they were the only things that got broken.
Saturday we went out to Catalina and enjoyed brunch, more shopping and a golf cart tour of the island. We watched the Fina

l Four at Mutt Lynch's and then took a winding bike ride home. We will never forget the midnight, handlebar ride with Jenny running alongside. On Sunday, Ana made another of her delightful breakfasts and we had cocktails before heading to the beach for some sun, surfing and starfish. We shared all of our leftover food and drinks with the cute little neighbor

boys next door - aaahhh, college kids - and then stuffed Bob-our-favorite-cab-driver's van with entirely too much luggage. We loved the sun and the quality girl time, but Jen and I were definitely excited to get home to our babies.
